Season 1: Foundations of Knowledge – Canada

An Indigenous-led Learning Opportunity open to EVERYONE

Starting Fall 2025 and running until Spring 2026

12 hours of Foundational Learning 

We invite you to take this first before moving on to other seasons (years) of learning. If you have already completed the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation Modules (through Reconciliation Education) we invite you to register for Season 2: Learning from the Land.

This year of learning supports participants in deepening their knowledge of Indigenous culture, history and perspectives.

This was developed and made available in partnership with Reconciliation Education and the First Nations University of Canada. In addition to the modules, resources and support, it offers a series of incredible Indigenous learning presentations.

  5. Residential Schools
  6. Terminology
  7. Relationships
  8. Reconciliation
  9. Restitution

Registration for Season 1: Foundation of Knowledge includes:

Self-paced Online Learning

5 hours in total (lessons released in Fall, Winter, and Spring). Review the Course Syllabus.

A Certificate of Completion

Upon completion of all online learning (5 learning hours).

Monthly Virtual Presentations: November - May (1 hour each)

Offered by an incredible group of Indigenous Leaders, Elders and Educators from across Turtle Island (North America). Live ASL interpretation will be provided during these monthly live gatherings.

A Certificate of Attendance

For the presentations you have watched (live or recorded).

Access to the Recordings of the Presentations and the Online Learning Modules
