Join Sarah-Anne Tourond (Anishinaabe and Métis) and Launa Payne (Douglas / Xa’xtsa First Nation) as they discuss Indigenous Teachings and Resources that are applicable for all educators who work with children. 

Begin the new school year with purpose, building awareness, relationships and connection to Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being that you can resonate, implement or shape your learning space with, wherever you are.

• Sarah Anne Tourond is an artist, author, yoga teacher, Indigenous advocate, wellness facilitator and mother to a toddler age son. She is a proud Anishinaabe and Métis woman, a member of the Eagle clan and her family belongs to Gambler First Nation in treaty 4 territory. Her book You Are the Land reminds us all we are part of the world around us.
• Launa Payne is a member of Douglas First Nation. She is an Indigenous Educator with a focus on outdoor education. Launa teaches yoga and mindfulness in addition to Indigenous outdoor camps. She runs Rise Up Indigenous Wellness, and authored the books, Heartbeat of the Earth: Connecting Children to Nature through Indigenous Teachings and Whispers of the Earth: A Journey through Indigenous Wisdom. She also is a facilitator for 4 Seasons of Indigenous Learning!
