STEAM Learning Outdoors

April 29

Free

FREE 60 min Virtual Workshop on Tuesday, April 29 at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern Time

With Educators Rachel Tidd and Katie Zajac

Educators from GreenLearning and Wild Learning join forces to highlight innovative ways to take STEAM education outdoors. All registrants will be entered to win some great draw prizes and will receive a link to the recording. All attendees will be able to access a Certificate of Attendance.

Part 1 will introduce the Re-Energy challenge at GreenLearning, where you will learn how to engage in outdoor learning through creations such as solar ovens. Additionally, dive in on how to deepen student connections to their environment using the story Sila and the Land – helping students explore and reflect on creating an impact for themselves and future generations.

Part 2 of the workshop you’ll explore outdoor math activities that use diverse outdoor settings, from urban landscapes to natural environments. Together, we’ll learn how to leverage everyday resources, such as street signs, natural materials, and architecture, to create engaging math learning opportunities.
