Season 3: Reciprocal Relationships

Starting Fall 2025 and running until Spring 2026

If you haven’t completed Season 2: Learning from the Land we encourage you to complete this learning first.

This reflective and reflexive course will focus on building reciprocal relationships with and between the Land and Indigenous People.

We will begin by exploring commonly held beliefs, recognizing the diversity of Indigenous perspectives and the importance of local relationships. Then, we will present a practical guide to protocol and how to move forward in celebrating unity and cultural respect.

Each year we work hard to decolonize the learning more and more. In Season 3, we remove the module-based learning, and replace it with emergent learning directly from Indigenous educators.

This season of learning was developed in partnership with Rise Up Indigenous Wellness, an Indigenous run and directed non-profit organization. Unlike Season 1 and Season 2, Season 3 will be primarily shared through online virtual sessions.

Through learning together on a monthly basis in a virtual meeting space, we will focus on:

  1. Unpacking and recognizing biases
  2. Engaging Local Community
  3. Building Community Ties
  4. Elder Engagement and Protocols
  5. Urban Indigenous population
  6. Indigenous mindfulness and connecting to outdoor learning
  7. Drum protocols
  8. Oral Traditions
  9. Celebrating our Learning

These sessions are scheduled for Thursdays at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern time on the following dates:

All learning sessions will be recorded and made available until September 30, 2026.

Registration for Season 3: Reciprocal Relationships includes:

Monthly Virtual Gatherings with Rise Up Indigenous Wellness

6 hours: 1 hour virtual sessions in November, January, February, March, April & May

A Certificate of Completion

Upon completion of of virtual gatherings you will be able to claim a certificate for those which you watched live, or the recordings.

Monthly Virtual Presentations: November - May (1 hour each)

Offered by an incredible group of Indigenous Leaders, Elders and Educators from across Turtle Island (North America).

A Certificate of Attendance

For the presentations you have watched (live or recorded).
