An Indigenous-led Learning Opportunity open to EVERYONE

Starting Fall 2025 and running until Spring 2026

12 hours of Foundational Learning

The learning modules offered as part of this course are dedicated to exploring the lands and peoples of Turtle Island (also known as North America), comparing and contrasting the history and contemporary realities of Indigenous peoples in Canada and the USA.

In this course, we will:

  1. Uncover Indigenous history on Turtle Island
  2. Examine colonialism, racism, and residential & Indian industrial schools
  3. Explore treaties & what it means to be a treaty person
  4. Introduce appropriate terminology & protocols
  5. Discuss truth & reconciliation and small actions for reconciliation

Registration for Season 1: Foundation of Knowledge includes:

Self-paced Online Learning

5 hours in total (lessons released in Fall, Winter, and Spring). Review the Course Syllabus.

A Certificate of Completion

Upon completion of all online learning (5 learning hours).

Monthly Virtual Presentations: November - May (1 hour each)

Offered by an incredible group of Indigenous Leaders, Elders and Educators from across Turtle Island (North America).

A Certificate of Attendance

For the presentations you have watched (live or recorded).

Access to the Recordings of the Presentations and the Online Learning Modules
