We are very pleased to kick Fall off by featuring our founding partner, Take Me Outside

If you don’t already know about Take Me Outside, now you have no excuse! They believe in a future where spending time outside learning, playing and exploring is a regular and significant part of every student’s day. Do you agree? If so, read on!

Take Me Outside is a registered non-profit that has been operating since 2010. They work collaboratively with other organizations, school boards and individuals to encourage children and youth to spend more time outside through various projects and initiatives. All of their initiatives are bi-lingual and inclusive!

Some of their flagship initiatives include:

  1. Take Me Outside Day

Last year, Take Me Outside Day had 8,900 educators and 400,000 learners participate in a week of events, activities and featured speakers. Please join the collective effort to extend the learning environment beyond four walls and a desk! Commit to spending 1 hour outside on October 19th (or sometime that week), and get access to their speakers, events and awesome prizes (including from us!). Register now!

2. Take Me Outside for Learning School Year Challenge

Looking for more of a challenge? Commit to a full year of outdoor learning (once a week) by also registering for the Take Me Outside for Learning Challenge. They’ll provide resources, professional development opportunities, activities and a growing community of committed educators!

3. Annual Student Video Contest – *Deadline Extended Until Oct 5*

For Canadians – don’t delay! They want to see how amazing your backyard is, wherever you live!

Individual students can enter or it can be a group/class project.

Submissions will be accepted until midnight (ET) on October 5th, 2022.

Not to mention their FREE Outdoor Learning Resource Hub and Non-Profit Apparel Store

But perhaps the most exciting news is you need to SAVE THE DATE ????️ MAY 4-6TH, 2023 for the Inaugural: Conference on Outdoor Learning hosted by Take Me Outside! In conjunction with us, The Outdoor Learning Store and EECOM.
